Perhaps Araneus marmoreus , ( the marbled orbweaver ) , or Araneus trifolium ( might be spelled trifolius )( the shamrock spider ). Anyway, those are two possibilities.

:Does anyone know what type of spider was seen in Kansas? It was approx. 2in. long and was brown with white speckled similar to a fawn. Any ideas/references will be appreciated. Thanx!
