My wife and I have found 3 huge spiders over the course of a month. Tonight I started to walk into my bedroom and there was another one on the carpet in our living room. Although I am slightly scared of spiders, I couldn't help but take a closer look at it because of how huge it was. I am concerned because my wife freaks out and frankly, I don't like the idea of a huge spider crawling around my bed and room. I guess I am mainly concerned if it is poisonous first and second, if it will bite us in the night. It is brown or dark colored and approximately 3-4" in width. About the size of the inside of my palm. (I am a big guy). Paul's sight is down so I couldn't find a pic that matches. I would appreciate advice and ideas about why I have never seen anything like these in the past year and now 3 in a month. I live outside Houston, TX in the country.
