:Posted an image to save the email! WHAT IS THIS???!!!

What you have there my friend is something known as a woodwasp and also known as a pigeon horntail (Tremex spp.) The large stinger is the ovidepositor (egg layer). In no way is this wasp anything to be concerned about. You will be able to find more info on this wasp in any decent insect guide. Hope this helps and I like the picture. Oddly enough, the same day you caught this, I caught one as well after searching for two years for one. Mine is now mounted in my wasp collection.
