Can you please help me identify this fly/wasp. I took the pics in July at Akame shijuhachitaki (red eye 48 waterfalls) in Mie Prefecture, Japan. It was about 2 inches long and tried to follow and land on me. I managed to flick it down with a towel and stomp on it. I don't like killing any animal but this guy looked like he was on the attack. Lucky it was alone.I've uploaded 2 pics.
