Some pretty tough flies there......or maybe old spiders (lol)...none of the flies here make it to the "screaming for help" stage before my shop spiders get em'.....:-).....ECO

:This is a filistid spider who lives in the window of my room. She's been in the window slot for quite a while, and makes a pretty good living there. Yesterday I was reading, and heard the high-pitched whine of a fly in distress. Miz Tanglefoots had trapped it and, before I could get my camera, ran out and dragged it into her parlor.

:The interesting thing about these spiders is their web structure...they have special structures to comb out the non-sticky silk into a series of loops, which are very effective in snagging prey. I have a close-up of the web if anyone would like a copy. Just email me or post a note here.
