I beleive that is a native US species of huntsman spider, of the family Sparassidae. most likely Heteropoda venatoria. They are a fast-moving, arboreal hunting spider ( which means they don't spin webs) found in the southern states. Despite the fact that they are fairly defensive, and give a painful bite, they are not dangerous, unless you are allergic to their venom ( which is a rare condition).

:i just found this picture on the net, and i'm just wondering if anyone knows what this thing is... i do not know the location of where it was found, or anything about it. what you see is what i know.
