It sounds like a Philodromid crab spider , possibly the species Philodromus praelustris .
:ok, i saw this spider in my apt. last night and it freaked me out o_O It was grey and dark grey, it looked like a tiny crab and walked sideways it also looked falt O_o i just captured it in a cup and tossed it outside, i would have kept it but my sister would have killed it. if anyone knows what that spider was please let me know.....thanks!
