How to increase your chance of being found in the Insect Search Engine
When
you enter a new URL data in the database, Insect Search
starts a CGI Perl Script. This
program makes a unique character string of all the
entered information. The string looks similar to this:
Then the script writes the line in the database file, just after the previous web site entry. When you search for a keyword or a group of keywords, a second Perl Script is launched. This program searches the URL database. The entire database is loaded in the memory of the InsectHobbyist.com web server. Each line is then analyzed in totality. So the keyword will be searched in the URL, the Web site description, the keywords entered and the e-mail. When the keyword and a part of the database match, a result line is printed. Please note that the engine IS CASE SENSITIVE. |
