:I have a juvenile emp that had an incomplete molt. One of it claws is holding on to the whole shed. I increased the humidity with no luck. Then i cut off half of the shed because he was seemed to be what i interpreted as pain due to the fact that he was feverishly stinging the molt that was dangling from his claw. What do i do?
The only thing you really can do is keep a close eye on the scorp and keep the humidity levels high. The scorp is not actually stinging the molt, but rather attempting to push it off. You may be able to assist, if you have some long forceps, but I'll recommend to wait until the rest of the exoskeleton has completely hardened as to prevent injuring the scorp. If you have a water dish that is just deep enough for the scorp to submerge itself, it might be good, as the scorp may atttempt removal for itself though hydration.
