:I would like to trade a couple baby emps for one large female with a couple years to live.

If you haven't found one, there's a good reason. Emps rarely live to see "nearing eight inches". Most commonly, they die at around 6-7 inches. If the scorp was, indeed, nearing eight inches, it would be due for a visit from death very soon and definitely would survive a couple more years. My recommendation is to go through Bill, @ Invertepet.com, or Paul, @ Exopets.com (there are quite a few others online, so don't count them out either) and one of them, if not all, can and will gladly supply you with an emp with great chances of breeding, or one with probability of already being gravid as of your choice.

adios,
edw.
