Emperor scorpions; Imperial scorpions; African Black scorpions: Pandinus imperator (P. imperator) of the family Scorpionidae (non-deadly, large-clawed scorpions). You can find caresheets all over the net if you research some of those terms. I appologize that I do not have time to go over requirements with you right now (work). I can tell you that this site may have a caresheet on them under the caresheets list button at the top of the page. CentralPets.com and Arachnopets.com also both have caresheets listed. It's a high humidity species (80% humidity required and 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit) which is communal (kept together), but with the advisory that they can turn cannibalistic and one eat another. That's the reason a 10 gal enclosure (floor space is more of a requirement that height) is recommended when keeping more than one of this species. They are normally docile and held by many people in the trade, but with the advisory on that, that they can become stressed and pinch or sting. The substrate (bedding of the enclosure) should be around six inches deep because they burrow. Gotta go!
