The comblike appendages underneath the scorpion is one determining factor of sex, though it is not always correct. They are refered to as the pectines though. The male's pectines are longer and have a smaller number of larger folicles (the hairlike part) on them, the female's are shorter and have a larger number of smaller folicles on them.

:I was told the things underneath them(what is it called?) tell the sex. If they are small that means female.. and hers are quite small... is it the other way around?

:thanks

:::pregnant?
::Maybe it is a female, but geez, those pedipalps (claws) are huge to be a female's. You wont be able to tell on whether the scorp is a gravid female until s/he gets some thicker girth to themselves and you can attempt the flashlight method to find out.
