No. Or at least, probably not. How big is your setup? The more space your emp has to run around the less likely you are to see it eat.

Your emp should have a secure hiding place. How is it that you're dropping a cricket right on his/her head? If you're removing the scorp form its hiding spot than there's no way you'll see it eat.

Your scorpion probably ate. If it's a male then plan on feeding 2-3 crickets every two weeks. Females eat more (but risk getting morbidly fat). Also, how is the temp/humidity in your tank? If it's too cold the scorp won't eat (they need warmth to aid the digestion process). If it's not humid enough your pet will die--before that, however, it will become inactive, placing it's 'claws' over its head.
