It seems like nobody ever posts subject matter here about the waste "Pellets" that the pedes make! Let me say something here. Not all females lay their eggs deep down in the soil! They cover their eggs in soil material and it resembles feces. I'd be careful picking up the waste cause there may be eggs inside. What i do is to leave it alone. I go out in a large field that's NOT been sprayed with insecticide and search for those ordinary "small" pill bugs or sow bugs. What they do is eat the feces of the giant millipedes and won't bother the ones that are covered with eggs. I never have to pick out waste matter ever since. I've been using this method for over 10 years and never loosed any eggs to "pill bugs". I put no more than one dozen in my large 55 gallon tank. The pill bugs will eventually start to populate by the dozens in no time... They won't bother the millipedes. Just eat the feces and that's about it... hope this info helps others raising giant pedes..
