hi, i'm new here, but i found i had a similar experience to yours,Thomas. i kept my green pillipedes in a coller room and they were fine, then when i moved them to a warmer spot they died. i suspect that in addition to the rotting wood preferences, temperatures must be crucial to them. since most herp keepers are used to heating their enclosures, it would be logical to think that most people tried the same with giant pillbugs, but helas, it seems they need to be kept much cooler than many homes provide.
where did you get yours, i seem to have a problem finding a supplier.
