:Snakes have been my long time love, but I have recently gotten into millipedes. I currently have 0.2 Giant black millipedes, a yellow headed, and a chocolate. I will be picking up a male giant black soon and giving breeding a shot. I understand a lot of people throw out the eggs because they are so small. I am using Bed-A-Beast for their substrate which get changed about once a month as needed. What is their incubation time? If there are any tips you could give I would appreciate it. I just picked up a monster 11-12 inch female, along with a smaller one that is not quite sexually mature. I also have a question about a species I am checking out. I have not seen a picture of it but it is called a White Bodied Pied Millipede, not sure on the latin sorry. Closest I can think of is the Florida Ivory Millipede, but I don't think it is a US native.

:Thank you very much,
:Jeff

From what I've heard you should never change the substrate if you want live baby millipedes they feed off the parents predigested food and take in their digestive floras and such.
Just telling you what I have heard.
