i actually bought a piece of drift wood for my snake cage that had a praying mantis egg case on it. the temps were in the 80s and humidity was mild. i didn't even know it was on the log til i noticed lots of tiny mantis' running around. i caught a few and kept them in jars with soil and twigs. they are extremely small and frail looking so i fed the fruit flies. if you feed them alot they will grow fast.
