Mantid problem?

Hi,
I recently aquired a pair or maylasian deadleaf mantids and the female just started to do this strange behaviour which i dont know if it is a good or bad thing?
She waves and shakes back and forth and then she spits up a brown liquid that she wipes all over her leaves and perch, she does 2 or 3 times and stops.
Does anybody know what this is?
Does she have a medical problem or is this normal?
Thank you
Kevin
