this species of wasp in japan is actually the largest species of its kind in the world. they attack in groups and raid neighboring bee's hive killing all the bees and taking the grub youngs back to their nest to feed to their babies and themselves. there was actually a great show on National Geographic, MSNBC channel on these guys a couple weeks ago.
