This is how I have read to do and know a great deal on breeding mealworms. First get around 3-4 large box tupperware containers.(you can get them at Walmart for around $2-$5). They are pretty cheap. Then put a thin layer of wheat germ or bran and about 3 slices of apple. then a sheet of burlap. Then keep doing these layers(and don't forget to add about 25-30meays per layer) till you get about 1in from the top or 2in. THen do this in the first box and they will turn into adults and mate and lay eggs and you will have more in about 3weeks. Make sure to leave it on the counter though NOT in the frig. Then do this on each of the 3 boxes and your little breeding farm should be up and running!! Make sure to change the apple slices out each day or two and clean the bran or wgeat germ out when it gets dirty(shells etc), but make sure their are NO eggs!! Good luck and any more questions ask for me!! Also what kind of herp do yah have??
