I've searched the internet, but have been unable to find much info reference how long adult crickets normally live. One ranch site mentioned three weeks, yet I have adult males that are already twice that age, although obviously getting quite elderly. Anyone else have any similar 'senior citizens'? Can anyone offer any age ranges based on your own experiences?
Also, are there any sites out there detailing house cricket behaviour in the wild? I've found lots of field cricket info, not so much about Acheta domestica aside from how to care for them. I'd like to know about their social behaviour--mine seem very gregarious, much more so than I expected, and mostly share a communal burrow the lot of them dug under a rock in their terrarium rather than establishing individual territories. I thought they'd be a bit more aggressive with one another...
