mole cirkcets do chirp and its possible that they may wander int buildings...theyu alos are large,,,,,but they are nothing like the normal cricket. The front legs are scooped out, so it looks like a little "mole" from front. The wings are leathery and flattened against the abdomen(to keep them out of the way)
They are pretty large crikcets too.

They might've been mormons...but I don't think that mormon cickets chirp.

Field crickets are just black occasionally larger (in some species) replicas of the house cricket.
