Back in the late 1970's my aunt had property in Kingsman Arizona. I when I visited her, her & my uncle took me to a town called Chloride one dry hot summer and it was night time. We were at a local ice cream shop and there was a lot of these NOISY very large very dark brown to almost black in colour crickets. These crickets make the ones we buy in the pet shops to feed pet lizards/tarantulas look "small" in comparison. Could anyone tell me what these LARGE crickets are called, and why pet shops don't sell them, except for the smaller .25mm 1" long variety? Also, what is a MOLE cricket? and are there any websites that show a picture what they look like? I also read websites that mention "blackfield" crickets. What do those look like and how big are they?
