I am really interested in keeping crickets or Katydids- not for breeding or feeding, but more for the pure pleasure of their noise. I am faced with a number of difficulties however:
1. I live in the UK- can anyone suggest where I can obtain my crickets?
2. Is it possible to still keep crickets in antique style cages with bars similar to those that would have been used in ancient china?
3. If so, what breeds are best- I guess obviously some of the larger species to avoid escape. . . . . ?
4.Which breeds are best if you are particularly interested in the sound or song produced?
