giving crickets water Help!!!!!!!

Hi, I was wandering if I can use a cleaning sponge to give crickets water.(don't know if this is safe,chemicals)I have tried a rabbit bottle with the sponge underneath but the water leaks out to fast. I am trying to get a good system going.I have a 20 gallon tank & a 10 my only real problem is the water.Any info. would be greatly appreciated.
