I have the same problem as previously posted, but worse. The fear also involves the centipede running around, any other animal with similar legs/antennae, deformed people and disfigured people and becoming disfigured (particularly involving burns and amputation of the nose), werewolves and people looking like werewolves, becoming pregnant, and any other situation with something moving inside me. They seem all interconnected and I'm completely horrified at all these ideas. I'm also scared to tell people about these things because someone could trick me into encountering them.
I am trying to find out what the phobias are called, to find out how to get rid of them, and came across this message in a search. I had to turn off browser images first in case a picture of a centipede could pop up. If I encounter a centipede, I am unable anymore to even confront it. I'm scared of their corpses, pictures, etc. I end up sprinting away out of the building screaming and in tears and have to send someone else in with an arsenal of pesticides. Forever after that I'm scared to ever be in that room. I can't even use the dictionary on any page close to where the centipedes are defined.
So I had an apartment that got centipedes in it too, fortunately not a lot. But I could barely ever sleep there. A big one (3" or so) came down the hallway at me, and it was asymmetrical, so deformity and a centipede combined together. I grabbed the only weapon at hand, a spray bottle of bleach. I sprayed the centipede and it slowed down but kept getting closer. I leapt over it and ran outside and didn't go back in. That was the last battle ever against one.
I live in a different house now where there's only been 1 so far in it, in the garage which I'm now scared to be in. I have already had >1 yr of therapy for this problem and it didn't help. I have no health insurance for counseling and medicine. So I have no idea what to do next…
