I believe I could have been bitten by a centipede, but am not quite sure. It happened about three days ago while I slept. I rose from sleep that morning and went to work. While at work, I had noticed a anoying itch to the far side of my right pectoral near my armpit. While thinking it might have just been a regular bug bite, I attempted to do nothing at all except itch. Two days have now passed since I was bitten and now I have a large red bump the size of a quarter on my right pectoral that is infected . Not only that, but I have also aquired a large sist inside my right armpit near the bite. I have been doing some research on centipede poison and have found out that their poison can cause damage to lymphnodes. since there are a fair amount of lymphnodes in the armpit region, could this sist be caused by the centipede poison. Today I went to see a physician about the bite and was given a prescription of antibiotics called keflex and some motrin for the pain. the symtoms I have had since the bite are nausea, but not to the point of throwing up. If anyone has any information whatsoever, I would greatly appriciate a reply. Thank You!
