Hi, We are from this area and do lots of activities in the woods but this new home I have w/2 acres in North Florida is now saturated with catepillars we have never seen before. Unfortunately my husband got stung by a puss catepillar (we identified that one) and we are worried about which of these strange ones are poisonous like that one. We don't want to harm them but have a 4yr old. The most recent strange find is bright yellow fuzzy with a few black strands and long black antennea and the rear sticks up, right next to that was one similiar but not as much fur and banded tan/brown. Please tell me if there is a place I can identify the good from the stingers? I would like to see what springtime brings since I love butterflies and moths. If someone is good with these things please email me. I don't want my hubby to crush any rare species or anything.
