Mealworm pupae dormancy?

I have about 140 mealworms in some oatmeal substrate for about a week. They have been growing rapidly and now they are about the size to begin pupating. Now for my question..can you put mealworm pupae into the frdge to stop development and then take them out so they all turn inot beetles at about the same time?

If this was possible, it would probably greatly increase egg production and mating.
