For my thesis, I'm going to be working on conceptual art based on ant culture. I want to show the great variety of ant types and I wanted to divide the classification-tree for an species into 3-5 distinct groups. Can anyone tell me a way to accomplish this, along with some 'highlights' of each branch? (such as specialized ants like:

-trap mandibles of myrmoteras toro
-ant "bomb" of camponotus saundersi
-glue defense of crematogaster inflata
-MASSIVE soldiers of pheidologeton diversus
-woven leaf nests of oecophylla smaragdina

thanks if you can help!
