Queen Ant?

I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA (45deg N).

I have ants dropping from my Elm tree - Larger than the ones I have seen this summer - large thorax(?) (the last segment of the body) I think they might be Queens - they have immature wings and there are many (drones?) smaller with more mature wings dropping around her. I have an Any Colony container set up (by coincidence - I was going to order a Queen in the postal mail) - do you think this is a Queen? I thought that ant colonies swarmed in the Spring.

Please advise.

Many thanks!

Mpls, MN
