: : Try visiting AntsAlive.com. They ship ants for ant farms all year round.

: Hello,

: : I'm trying to start an ant farm and I'm not sure if I can still find ant hills in December. Do ants hibernate?
: : Do they die off every winter? Or can I still find them?
: : Please reply here.

They still live until about 20 degrees then they start to ice up.But during winter they take the whole colony down another foot or two and wait.Because they can't afford to not take care of their offspring.
