: I just got into ants and I made a new place to keep my ants while i was digging up an ant nest I found an egg that is 3or4 times larger than a drone egg, Could it be a queen, Also, What is the best thing to feed the ants and how should I give them water Ben

Give them dog or cat food. They like that best, plus it has more nutrience in it to help make the next workers strong and healthy. Most likely the egg you found was a captured one. They must have waged war and got close enough to the nursery. What kind of ant is it?
