Does anyone know approx time for when the Queens take off to start new nest? I am preparing i hear that only 1-100 makes a stable nest so i am working on several single small colonys to see if i can get a stable one going? But used to i would see hundreds of queens walking around looking for nest sites, but i havnt seen a queen harvester ant running around on the ground for many many years.

So i am thinking starting with several queens, letting them get there little colonys going then i am working on a giant version of Uncle Miltons Ant Farm (4'T x 3'w 1/2-3/4" Thick) which i will move the strongest new colony to once its established

Thanks for any thoughts

Or if you are in Oklahoma and come across 6-7 of these Red Ant Queens email me and ill be more than happy to pay for them

Thanks

Chad
